AH500 Premium Polyester Aikido Hakama – Further Evolved

The AH500 Premium Polyester Aikido Hakama features a luxurious cashmere-like texture and is carefully cut and sewn to provide excellent durability, freedom of movement, safety, and a beautiful silhouette when worn.

The fabric is treated with Esmen Guard® L, a special water-repellent and stain-resistant finish. This treatment helps repel dirt and stains and also makes them easier to remove during washing.

The back plate (koshi-ita) is made from a strong yet flexible special rubber material, helping reduce discomfort to the lower back when performing ukemi (breakfalls). Our unique tailoring also minimizes the opening of the hakama pleats and helps maintain its elegant shape during movement, making it especially suitable for demonstrations and regular training.

Developed based on feedback from many Aikido practitioners, the AH500 is crafted from premium-quality fabric that is tightly woven and designed to resist wrinkles. Each hakama is individually made by skilled hakama craftsmen. Its distinctive cashmere-like sheen creates an elegant appearance and a refined silhouette.

Aikido Hakama Size Guide (cm)

• This hakama is a unisex divided (umanori) style.
• The height guide differs for men and women because men wear the hakama at the hips, while women and children wear it at the waist.
• This is a general guide. The best size may vary depending on body shape and how you prefer to wear your hakama.
• Measurements are standard specifications, and slight variations may occur due to sewing.
• For waist sizes of 95 cm or more, we recommend a custom-made hakama (price quoted separately).
